PURPOSE:To enable to detect the position of a rotor of a synchronous motor by detecting the phase of a current induced in a detecting winding or in winding other than stator winding. CONSTITUTION:A detecting winding 1b is formed on the outer periphery of a rotor 1 to form the rotor. When the rotor is thus constructed, the winding 1b is disposed at the center to stator windings (a), (b), (c). So-called a rotary transformer structure is employed. When a high frequency current (detection signal) is flowed to the winding 1b, a current of sin(wot+theta) is induced in the winding (a). Since theta corresponds to the phase difference between the windings 1b and (a), the rotary position of the rotor can be detected by obtaining theta. |
