PURPOSE:To permit magnetic recording of high density by a medium wherein W- phase oxide magnetic particles represented by chemical formula RMe2Fe16O27 are used as magnetic particles for the magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The present medium is composed of W-phase oxide magnetic particles represented by general formula of RMe2Fe16O27, where R represents one or combination of two or more of Ba, Sr, Pb, Ca, and M represents one or combination of two or more of two-valence metals such as Fe, Cu, Zn, Cd, Ni, Co, Mn, Mg. |
