PURPOSE:To install a submerged pump at the intake part of water for irrigation of a river or the like simply by a method wherein the submerged pump is lowered slidingly under a condition that it is engaged with a guide. CONSTITUTION:An intake port 2 is provided horizontally at the lower part of a pumping tube 1 by an elbow while a pole 7 made by a straight pipe or an electric pole is established on a horizontal delivery port which is closed. A support arm 8 for hanging the submerged pump is attached to the pole 7 by an annular adaptor metal 14 while an upright parallel guide 4 is supported by a concrete bottom plate 11 at the lower part of the pumping tube 1. The prime mover unit 23 of the submerged pump 3 is hung by a hook 21, the pump 3 is lowered by operating a chain 20, an engaging metal 16 provided on the same pump 3 is engaged with the guide 4, the same pump 3 is lowered slidingly into water below a water level (s) by gravity and the horizontal delivery port 5 is aligned with the horizontal intaking port 2 below the pumping tube 1. According to this alignment, tightening surfaces 24, 25 are tightened by the gravities thereof and the horizontal delivery port 5 and the horizontal intake port 2 may be connected to each other. |
