PURPOSE:To select the inclination angle of a cylinder freely according to the position where an engine is to be installed, by forming a circular suction hole in a crank case and fitting a circular joint portion of a carbureter into said circular suction hole. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is started, open air is drawn from a suction port 16 and then introduced into a carbureter 12 from its suction opening 12a after dust is filtered by an air filter 17. Then the air is mixed with fuel for forming air-fuel mixture. At the time of upward stroke of a piston 9, the air-fuel mixture forces a reed valve 15 open and is introduced into a hollow space in a crank case 2. The air-fuel mixture in the crank case 2 is compressed by the downward movement of the piston 9 and supplied to a combustion chamber 8 via a scavenging passage 11 for combustion therein. Here, since the carbureter 12 is used by fitting a large-diameter joint portion 14b formed at the other end of a connecting pipe 14 into a circular suction hole 2e formed in a right case 2e, it can be installed with its float chamber being located downward irrespective of the installation angle of the same. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to select the inclination angle of the cylinder freely with no need of considering the inclination angle of the carbureter. |
