PURPOSE:To obtain a sound wave transceiver having a water and dust resistant structure with high sensitivity by adhering a bimorph vibrator to a resin thin film having virtually no effect to free oscillations to said vibrator supporting the periphery of the thin film by a housing and providing a reflecting plate at the center part of the radiating surface side of the vibrrator. CONSTITUTION:For a bimorph vibrator 51, an electrostrictive piezoelectric element plate is adhered to another electrostrictive piezoelectric element plate or a metallic plate and flexural oscillations are carried out with impression of voltage to the electrostrictive piezoelectric element plate. Such a vibrator 51 is adhered to a resin thin film 52, and the periphery of the film 52 is supported by a housing 54. The film 52 has the strength to support the vibrator 51, and the thickness of the film 52 is so small that gives virtually no effect to the free oscillations of the vibrator 51. Thus a synthetic resin thin film having about 0.3mm. thickness, for example, is used to the film 52. Then a reflecting plate 53 is provided at the center part of the radiating surface side of the vibrator 51. |
