PURPOSE:To form a uniform coating film on the surface of a base material by melt spraying, by moving a spraying gun above the base material during transfer always at a constant speed to the direction at the right angle to said base material. CONSTITUTION:The melt spray gun 8 of a driven truck 5 is set so as to be made reciprocally movable on the position of each limit truck 13 over the width or more of a base material A which is, in turn, transferred on a roller conveyor 2. In this case, a plurality of the melt spraying guns 8 arranged in series in the transfer direction are reciprocally moved above the base material A at a constant speed toward the width direction of said base material A while melt spraying a predetermined metal from said guns 8 to form an extremely uniform coating film on the surface of the base material A. |
