<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to change the display of a document, confirm a layout, discriminate the contents of the document on a layout displaying screen, and satisfy editing operation for a short time by providing the titled device with a code refresh memory and a dot refresh memory. CONSTITUTION:Characters for a document and a command for editing are inputted from a keyboard 122 through an input controller 308. A CPU 301 writes or changes a character code to a code refresh memory 310 and displays the result on a CRT 123 by the inputted character code or the command for the editing operation. When a layout display command is inputted from the keyboard 122, the CPU 301 executes a layout display program stored in a program memory 303, supplies a command to a CRT controller 305 and erases the code refresh type document display executed by input processing or an editing program from the CRT 123. Subsequently, a reduced character pattern is written in the dot refresh memory 311 by a reduced character writing program and displays the layout on the CRT 123.</p> |
