PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus for measuring ESR and FMR using no cavity resonator, by providing a specimen holding part between a transmitting electromagnetic horn and a receiving electromagnetic horn. CONSTITUTION:A microwave is applied to the specimen on the specimen holder 16 arranged between pole pieces 23 of an electromagnet 22 through a microwave feed cable 11, a coaxial wave guide converter 12, a transmitting horn 13 and an electromagnetic lens 14. The microwave permeated through the specimen 17 is sent to a coaxial cable 20 through an electromagnetic lens 15, a receiving horn 18 and a coaxial wave guide detector 19 and the microwave absorption of the specimen is detected in a microwave detecting system. By this method, an apparatus for measuring ESR, FMR using no cavity resonator is obtained. |
