A method is disclosed for the sealing of gelatin or other hydrophilic polymer capsules having hard shell coaxially aligned cap and body parts which are telescopically joined to define overlapping regions. The method comprises depositing, at high frequency from a jet, between the overlapping regions of the cap and body parts, droplets of a sealing fluid to seal together the cap and body parts. An apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.
