PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably power consumption of an auxiliary light source by executing photometric and light emitting operations at every prescribed period without executing immediately the photometric and light emitting operations even if a charging completion signal is generated under a focused state, when the auxiliary light source is used. CONSTITUTION:In case when a focused state is detected by a focusing degree calculating circuit 2, a focusing signal is inputted to an auxiliary light controlling circuit 53, and an accumulating operation start time point to a sensor 1 by a controlling circuit 53 mediated. That is to say, even if a charging completion signal is inputted to the auxiliary light controlling circuit 53 from a terminal T2, an accumulating operation (photometric operation) by the sensor 1 is not started immediately, and the measuring operation is started after a prescribed time elapses. As a result, after a focused state is obtained once, the light emitting interval by a flash device becomes longer than before the focused state, therefore, the power consumption can be reduced remarkably. |
