PURPOSE:To obtain a bright illuminating range by placing a diffuser formed by providing an optical fiber train on which optical fibers are made to adhere closely to each other and arranged, to one layer or plural layers, on the tip of a light guide. CONSTITUTION:In a diagonal view of a part of a diffuser shown in the figure, optical fiber trains 3, 4 are constituted as a diffuser 6 on which the respective optical fibers 5 are made to adhere closely and arranged, and they are overlapped. As for this diffuser 6, the optical fibers 5 of the optical fiber trains 3, 4 are overlapped so as to cross each other at a right angle. When a light is applied to this diffuser 6 from the circumferential surface direction of the optical fiber, first the light is refracted in the diameter direction of the optical fiber 5 by the optical fiber 5 of the fiber train 3 of the first layer, and this refracted light is further refracted in the diameter direction by the optical fiber 5 of the optical fiber train of the following layer, namely, the light which is made incident to the diffuser 6 is diffused equally and emitted in four directions, therefore, when this diffuser 6 is placed on the tip of a light guide, the illuminating light can be diffused and illuminated equally at an angle of 360 deg.. |
