PURPOSE:To obtain the reproduced pictures of high quality with high recording density by a compact and lightweight magnetic recording/reproducing device by setting two magnetic heads having head gaps of different azimuth angles to a head cylinder with a prescribed angle space. CONSTITUTION:Changeover switches 36-39 are closed at the side of a contact P, and magnetic heads 6 and 7 reproduce and scans the recording track in the magnetizing direction in conformity with the azimuth angle of both heads respectively. As a result, the time-compressed video signals are alternately supplied every second field to preamplifier circuits 28 and 29. Gate circuits 30 and 31 work synchronously with the tack signal supplied from a tack signal generator 34, and the head 6 travels from a point P to a point Q to reproduce and scan the recording track coincident with the azimuth angle. Meanwhile the gate circuit 30 is opened, and the head 7 advances to the point Q from the point P with the next revolution to reproduce and scan the recording track coincident with the azimuth angle. At the same time, the gate circuit 31 is opened. |
