The needles are situated above a correspondingly spaced set of containers holding film developing solutions. The whole assembly is indexed through a predetermined angle in the raised positions. Each time the spindles are lowered the lower end of the spindle passes through the hole in the hub of a film disc to engage if frictionally. Beneath the path of the spindles several processing solution containers are arranged including at least one for drying. - A disc picked up on the end of a spindle is introduced into each solution in turn and retained in it for a set period. The spindles are rotated about their axes by a common drive to enhance contact between the emulsion and the processing solutions.
