PURPOSE:To obtain a heating sensor made compatible in conflicting characteristics such that sufficient heat insulating effect is maintained and response is excellent, by substantially separating a heat insulating part from a part for introducing gas to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A heating sensor element 100 is heated by a heater 10. The protective cover 30 surrounding the leading end part of the heating sensor element 100 has no area to which gas to be measured flows other than the opening part of a heat insulating part 15 and a part 14 for introducing gas to be measured and the substitution of the gas to be measured in not substantially performed at an area other than the surface of a measuring electrode 2. In other words, the part 14 introducing the gas to be measured is separated from the heat insulating part 15 to suppress the flowing of the gas to e measured in the heat insulating part 15 while the substitution of the gas on the surface of the measuring electrode 2 is made rapid to effectively transmit the heat generated by a heater layer 11 to an electrochemical cell and, because the surface of the measuring electrode 2 is directly contacted with the gas to be measured through an opening part 14 having a proper size and a protective layer 4, the response of the heating sensor is also enhanced. |
