The invention relates to: 1. A building having a shell stretched over bearing steel cables braced by tensioning steel cables located in different planes, coupled vault to vault: each vault having bearing cables which are prestretched by another vault having tensioning cables, the whole being integrated, or not, into the fabric structure. 2. The stretched shell serves only as roofing for the building without being involved in the stability of this building; although enclosed in sheaths of this shell, the cables remain the sole elements for the stability of the structure. 3. A netting-type enclosure, the shape of which in its upper portion closely follows the height variations of the tarpaulin roofing; a fixing system, permitting the attachment of panels to the enclosure, allows the complete encasing of the intermediate tensioning system bracing the edges and the panels. <IMAGE>
