Hauling chain-wheel drive for mining cutter

The cutting machine has a housing containing an electric motor for driving a gear, via which the hauling chain wheels are set in rotation. The wheels engage in a tensioned chain or alternatively in a toothed rod running towards a working face, along which the machine is moved backwards and forwards. The machine housing is rigidly connected to a control module which has a monitoring system for the machine functional reliability. The monitoring system is contained in a housing on which a division switch housing is fitted. At the end of the machine housing remote from the control module, a bearer arm is connected and carries a head with a cutting iron, and on the machine underside are several slide shoes which engage on the side walls of the troughs of a chain scraper conveyor.
