The output of cream from a centrifuge is controlled by a throttle valve (7). This valve can be moved axially, by a screw cap (3) and rams against a valve seat (4) formed by a piston. The side of the piston furthest from the valve, is subjected to a constant air pressure. - The throttle valve setting, can be altered, to correspond to the concentration of cream that is required. If the pressure in the cream inlet pipe (15) builds up, the piston, valve seat is moved to the right and, consequently the valve opens, maintaining a constant pressure in the cream delivery line. (1/2) DEAB- DE3245901 C The valve regulates cream concentration in a centrifugal milk separator, having a seat, an adjusting screw, and a plug forming a throttle with the seat. Variation of the distance between plug and seat and thus of the throttle is effected by alteration in the cream discharge pressure. - The plug (3a) is fixed to the screw (3), while the seat (4) slides in the axial direction, being subjected on opposite sides to the cream discharge pressure and to a control pressure, the latter thrusting it into a rest position.
