Such weft-thread guides (1a) have a foot part (2), a ring part (3) connected to the upper end of the foot part (2) and having an orifice (16) with a slit (4), a passage (6) formed in the foot part and ring part, and an outlet (5), located on the circumference of the orifice (16), for the ejection of a medium jet. The weft-thread guide is composed, at least in the ring part (3), of two members (9, 10) resting one on the other. This makes it possible to design the weft-thread guide (1a) with the same dimensions as a one-part weft-thread guide (1); moreover, the outlets (5) can be arranged in such a way that they support the air stream, generated by a main nozzle, for weft-thread insertion uniformly on the circumference and thereby contribute to a more reliable weft insertion. <IMAGE>
