1479418 Stabilizing polybenzoxazoles B M KOVARSKAYA V V GURYANOVA H Y CHERNIKHOV T N MAKAROVA L I GOLUBENKOVA S N NIKONOVA M V ANISIMOVA M N SEMERNITSKAYA V A ISAEVA N D PETRISCHEVA V A BARANOVA L A SKRIPKO J V KOKHANOV and V V PAVLIKOV 19 Dec 1975 [19 Dec 1974] 52153/75 Heading C3R Polybenzoxazoles are stabilized by incorporating in them either (A) a phosphoric acid anilide of formula where n is 1 or 2, m is 1 or 2 and n+m is 3, or (B) a phosphorous acid anilide of formula where R is phenyl, α-naphthyl or #-naphthyl, or (C) a phosphazene of formula where R is C 6 H 5 O-, C 6 H 5 NH-, 4-CH 3 C 6 H 5 O- or 4-CH 3 OC 6 H 5 O-. From 1 to 10 parts by weight of stabilizer are used per 100 parts by weight of polybenzoxazole. The polybenzoxazole may be derived from isophthalic acid dichloroanhydride and 3,31-dihydroxy - 4,41 - diaminodiphenyl - methane or the dichloroanhydride of 4,41-diphenyloxide dicarboxylic acid and 3,31-dihydroxy-4,41-diaminodiphenylmethane or isophthalic acid and 3,31 - diamino - 4,41 - dihydroxydiphenylmethane. The stabilizer may be phenylphosphoric acid dianilide, #-naphthylphosphoric acid dianilide, α - napthylphosphoric acid dianilide, 1,3,5 - hexa - anilide cyclotriphosphazene, 1,3,5 - hexa(4 - anizyloxy) - cyclotriphosphazene, 1,3,5 - hexa - phenoxycyclotriphosphazene, diphenylphosphoric acid anilide, # - naphthylphosphorous acid dianilide, α- naphthylphosphorous acid dianilide, diphenylphosphorous acid anilide or 1,3,5-hexa-tolyloxycyclotriphosphazene.
