PURPOSE:To enable to obtain a printing mechanism of high performance and high speed by making a leaf spring warped due to extension of piezo elements served as a printing hammer in a dot impact type printer. CONSTITUTION:When a tension is applied to electrodes 2 and 2' of the upper and lower parts of a hammer bank frame 6, the end faces 5, 5' of piezo elements 1 and 1' are extended and a leaf spring 3 is incurred a large pressure from upside and downside. Due to the foregoing, the leaf spring 3 is bent, but since it is slightly warped in the forward direction beforehand by a stopper 7, a printing pin 4 mounted on the leaf spring 3 in a protruded manner is necessarily projected forwardly and collides against a platen 10 with an ink ribbon 8 and a printing paper 9 therebetween. As a result, dot printing is effected on the printing paper 9. The strain amount of the piezo elements 1, 1' and the projection amount of the pin 4 are given about 25 times of enlarging ratio. Thus, high performance and high speed printing can be effected. |
