The invention relates to a ventilator for anaesthesia/ventilation with automatic and manual respiration, especially according to WP A 61 M/244 800. It is the object of the invention to provide an additional control means for therapeutic ventilation, and this object is achieved by a circuit arrangement with a slightly modified circuit structure of the circuit arrangement adapted for anaesthesia/ventilation. In comparison with unmodified ventilators, the invention guarantees optimised therapeutic ventilation free of problems. In addition, the economical combination of the advantages of electrical functional groups with those of pneumatic functional groups and control elements is improved.
