Process and device for the use of the exhaust gas energy of absorption heat pumps

The invention relates to absorption heat pumps with a gas-heated generator. The aim of the invention is to raise the efficiency of such installations by the optimum use of both the exhaust gas energy arising from the heating of the generator and also the environmental energy directly for the heat pump process. A process is proposed according to the invention in which the hot exhaust gases, before being mixed with external air or exhaust air, are cooled in heat exchange with preheated low-pressure steam and simultaneously the low-pressure steam is heated to the initial absorption temperature. The device according to the invention is characterised by a low-pressure steam superheater which follows the evaporator and through which the exhaust gas duct is passed.
