PURPOSE:To simplify the assembling process by dividing a shell into two parts, accommodating a stabilizer in the side of fixing a lamp, fixing a base to the other side and electrically connecting them at the area near the dividing surface of shell. CONSTITUTION:A Shell 6 is divided into two parts in the radius direction from the upper part of a stabilizer support 63. Therefore, a discharge lamp device can be assembled as follow. A stabilizer 8 is engaged with the stabilizer support 63 while an external lead 14 of lamp 1 extended upward from the one inside 61 of the divided shell, the one end of shell 61 is covered and fixed on the circumference of bottom part 11 of lamp 1 with a bonding agent 9, the power supply lead 77 connected to the other side of shell 62 is connected to electric parts such as stabilizer terminal 85, starter 10 and capacitor 12, etc. at the area near the dividing surface of shells 61, 62. Thereafter, the bonding agent 9 is applied as the stopper to the treaded part 64 of the divided shells 61, 62 and the divided shells 61, 62 are coupled by screwing into an integrated shell. |
