Operating and emergency shutdown system for nuclear reactors

The invention relates to an operating and emergency shutdown system for nuclear reactors which executes defined travel paths of the rods via hydraulic drives with few control and monitoring signals. The travel paths are limited by receiver containers in the emergency shutdown system, and by piston or diaphragm reservoirs in the operating system.
