<p>PURPOSE:To attain the translation between different languages by providing a means to retrieve the words out of a memory every input of a word to be put into a convertible area and a means to display the retrieving mode at a display part. CONSTITUTION:An electronic translation contains each language ROM, and this ROM contains the sentence which include the words or phrases that can be translated with changes. These variable areas are shown with double parentheses when a sentence is called out in English. Then a translation key 43 is pushed to translate the variable areas in the parentheses into Japanese words for display, and the double parentheses are changed at a single parenthesis. In this case, an operator pushes a character key 44 to feed the words of the variable area with other desired words. Thus the variable area in an English sentence is changed into the desired words. Here the key 43 is pushed again to put the desired words into parentheses for translation and display. If the desired word does not exist in the language ROM, the marks ! ! are put after the relevant word. While the marks ! ? are displayed if the desired word exists in plural numbers.</p> |
