Protective device attached to a pressurized pipeline

Attached to a pressurized pipeline is a device which can be easily assembled and dismantled and has the task of guarding objects to be protected located near the pipeline from the mechanical consequences of an accident at the pipeline. The device consists of a jacket tube surrounding the pipeline at a slight distance and having open ends and/or pressure-relief bores. The jacket tube is supported on the pipeline via spacers. Various types of fastening means are specified for the jacket tube. Jet and reaction forces occurring in the event of a leakage are reduced to permissible values by the jacket tube.
