The invention relates to a drive device for roller skates, consisting of a shell and a piston, in which connections to turbines are arranged. The previously customary roller skates do not make sufficient use of the person's weight. It is thus too difficult to travel obliquely upwards. The object of the invention is to construct the roller skate drive in such a way that ascending slopes can easily be overcome by utilising a person's weight. To achieve this object, provision is made for the piston to be inserted in the housing. The axle of the rollers is arranged centrally in the turbine and each housing has stoppers so that the pistons cannot come out of the housing. Mounted on each piston is a rod, to which the skates are attached. The axle of the rollers is fixed to the housing by the adjusting screws.
