The stone-sawing machine uses either an armoured blade or an endless band (3), equipped with abrasive segments (4). The band or blade, is capable of reciprocal linear motion whilst advancing into the saw cut (5). The work (7) is mounted on a table (6), of which the ends move up and down alternately. - Each table extremity (8,8') may be mounted (9) on a crank (17) shaft (10), driven by a crank arm (13,13') and connecting rod (11) from a common motor (14) shaft. The arms are out of phase by between 15 and 120 degrees. The arms may rotate backwards and forwards in unison, through an angular sector, equal to the out of phase angle.(1/8)
