A hair dyeing process comprises of steps of contacting the hair to be dyed with an aqueous solution of a metal salt that promotes melanogenses in air, wherein before or after the aforementioned step the hair is contacted with a solution of 5,6-dihydroxyindole, and the hair is rinsed between the two contacting steps, maintaining the contact with the second-used solution until a desired darker color is obtained. The hair is then rinsed or shampood then contacted with a solution of hydrogen peroxide until the desired color shade is obtained, followed by further rinsing. |
