<p>PURPOSE:To stack a large amount of sheets by changing a stacking tray depending upon the weight of sheets stacked on the stacking tray by balancing means to increase and decrease a sheet stacking area. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 6 is discharged by a discharge roller 4 to be stacked on a tray 5. The end portion of the tray 5 is provided with two rollers 8 and a chain 9. The rollers 8 are adapted to rotate and vertically move along the inside of a rail 10 fixed on a main body. The chain 9 is guided to sprockets 101, 102 rotatably supported on the main body, and both ends of the chain are fixed to the main body through springs 11, 12. The tension of the spring 11 is larger than that of the spring 12, so that the tray is displaced downward in proportion to the weight of sheets 6 stacked on the tray 5. In this arrangement, a stacking area on the tray 5 is increased corresponding to the amount of stacked sheets 6 to stack a large amount of sheets.</p> |
