PURPOSE:To enhance convenience in operation of an arrangement, in which a stand-by table for sheets is placed on a cassette during manual feeding, by incorporating such a construction that said stand-by table transfers automatically off from the cassette through the action of a spring when the cassette is to be taken off. CONSTITUTION:A stand-by table 1 to serve manual feed of sheets is fitted rotatably on the copier body using a shaft 11, being energized by a spring 9 so as to be movable upward revolvingly. A projection 10 is provided at the upper part of a cassette 5 solidly as in a single piece. Because this spring 9 is oriented nearer the projection 10 than the shaft 11 during manual feeding, the stand-by table 1 revolves clockwise to come in pressure contact with a detent 10 of the cassette 5. At this time feeding of sheets is carried out by sending in from a manual tray 3 so as to come in pressure contact at the point of contact of the stand-by table 1 with a feed roller 2. When the cassette 5 is to be taken off while the table 1 is in such a state, the table will revolve against the force of spring 9, to retract then to its accommodation place under the action of the spring 9. |
