PURPOSE:To shorten operating time by providing an idle feeding process slower than quick feeding speed while faster than grinding feed speed between quick feeding process and grind feeding process and setting said idle feeding manually. CONSTITUTION:A table 14 is moved in X-direction to perform dressing by means of a dressing tool 23 and to reset the count in memory area to zero thus to employ said position as the original point in the direction of Y-axis. Then the table 14 is moved to the right while a grindstone wheel 20 is quickly advanced to approach to predetermined position then contacted manually against the inner face of a workpiece W and backed from said position by predetermined distance corresponding to fluctuation of inner diameter of workpiece W thereafter a setting switch is depressed to transfer the pulse count at that time to memory area as an idle feed data. The data in memory will cause rotation of servo motors 15, 19 by predetermined amount to perform automatic grinding. Consequently idle feeding can be determined easily and accurately to shorten the operating time considerably. |
