PURPOSE:To have always stable paper feeding in an arrangement equipped with a double feed preventive device, which is fitted with a distribution roller couple consisting of a feed roller and reverse roller, by giving the reverse roller a torque necessary for distribution only when a sheet is bitten by the roller couple. CONSTITUTION:A reverse roller 5 installed in the understream of a paper supply roller, not illustrated, and constituting a distribution roller couple 3 together with a feed roller 4, is rotated by a chain 9 through a sprocket 8, hysteresis clutch 7, etc. The clutch 7 is so constructed that the torque increases proportional to the exciting current to an excitor coil 7b. A timer 13 is started a certain while after a sheet being stacked is sent off paper supply roller 2, and shall go out in the timing as the leading edge being bitten by said roller couple 3, whereafter a relay 14 is energized to change over a selector switch 11 to the terminal 11a side. Thereby a large current is supplied to the clutch 7 through a rectifier 12 to provide a strengthened torque. |
