[Also in Division G3] A fluid amplifier system comprises a support element 29 on which are mounted a plurality of individual components 1. A fluid manifold 34 is secured to the lower part of the support having a single supply passage 35 from which lead valve controlled branch passages 37. The components 1 are formed with nipples received in holes in the support 29, the central nipple being connected to the branch passage 37 when a component is assembled. The components have spring-loaded balls which engage holes 33 to lock the component in position and an outlet at the top is adapted for connection to a pressure gauge to indicate the supply pressure from the branch passage. The components are of unit thickness or a multiple of this unit. The Specification describes various types of active or passive elements which may be assembled on the support.</p> |
