PURPOSE:To implement an inexpensive, highly reliable, ultrasonic wave type device for simultaneously measuring a flow rate and temperature, by adding a simple circuit to a means, which measures the flow rate by ultrasonic waves. CONSTITUTION:A signal is sent to a detector 3 and a receiving circuit 12 from a transmitting circuit 11 through a switch 10. The receiving circuit 12 measures a time t1, during which an ultrasonic wave is propagated from the detector 3 to the detector 4, and a time t2, during which the ultrasonic wave is propagated from the detector 4 to the detector 3. A flow speed operating circuit 13 computes V, and a flow rate Q operating circuit 14 computes Q. Meanwhile, a C cos theta operating circuit 15 computes C cos theta by using the signal, which is generated by the operating circuit 13 and the like. A temperature T operating circuit 18, which is a function generator, obtains a liquid temperature T based on a flag (i) obtained by a flag setter 17 and the C cos theta from the operating circuit 15. Thus, an inexpensive, highly reliable device for simultaneously measuring the flow rate and temperature can be implemented. |
