PURPOSE:To reduce the tendency of being made brittle after heat treatment and to improve workability by adding at least one of elements of group VB and at least one of elements of group VI to a thin film of Co-Zr-Ru type amorphous magnetic alloy formed by sputtering. CONSTITUTION:A 30mum thin film of an amorphous magnetic alloy having a compsn. of formula I and ''Sendust'' is formed on a 2mm. thick alumina substrate. It is ground and polished to obtain the half bodies 1, 1' of cores, and they are brought into contact with each other by interposing a 0.3mm. thick front gap of SiO2, and a prescribed coil 8 is wound around them to prepare a magnetic head. In formula I , T is Co alone, or a conbination of Co, and at least one of transition metals except Co, Zr, Ru, and elements of group VB and group VIB; X is Zr alone or a combination of one of other glass forming elements; MI is at least one of elements of group VB, MII is at least one of elements of group VIB; x+y+z+w+v=100at%, y=5-30at%, z<=8at%, w<=10at%, and v<=10at%. |
