PURPOSE:To prevent a thermal adverse influence on constituting parts with good operability by providing a joint opened at a projecting end face to a hermetically sealed vessel, inserting a part of piping into the juncture and irradiating with a laser beam thereto thereby welding the same. CONSTITUTION:A joint 10 projecting on an outside surface side is provided integrally in a part of the upper case 2a of a hermetically sealed vessel 1, and the projecting end face in the joint 10 is opened. A piping P, such as a discharge pipe 7, suction pipe 8 or the like is fitted into the opening 10a. The vessel 1 is fixed to a rotary jig and the joint 10 there of is irradiated with a leser beam over the entire circumference whereby the joint 10 is welded and is joined to the piping P. There is no thermal adverse influence on the motor part and compressor part in this stage and there are no deformation of the vessel 1 and no softening of the piping P. |
