PURPOSE:To obtain stable transmitting torque so that irregular rotation hardly occurs under any tape running modes, by performing optionally the switching of a torque limiter by using an electric signal only with a simple mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When recording and reproducing are performed at a constant speed, a reel motor 1 is rotated and driven under a condition where the magnetism of an electromagnet 18 is released. Under this condition, a magnet 17 and stopper 16 descend and a projection 16a comes out from the grooved hole 3a of an idler 3. Therefore, when a motor pulley 2 is rotated and driven under this condition, the revolving force of the pulley 2 is transmitted to a reel base 14 or 15 through the idler 3, friction plate 11, and rubber ring 10 and winds a tape around a tape reel. While the number of revolution of the reel base 14 or 15 is variable against the constant tape running speed due to the wound quantity of tape, the difference in the number of revolution of the reel bases 14 and 15 is absorbed by a slip mechanism containing the friction plate 11 and the reel base 14 or 15 is rotated with appropriate torque. |
