PURPOSE:To reduce the polling time by transmitting a polling signal designating the district point signal of a sign post in a desired range from a base station and starting mobile stations in plural sign post areas to perform response. CONSTITUTION:The base station transmits polling signals Xmin, Xmax, Ymin, Ymax designating the range of district point signals X, Y transmitted from the sign post. The area signal and the district point signal from the sign post are received by a receiver F of a mobile station, demodulated by a sign post signal receiving section 4 of the communication control section G, and when the area signal is coincident with the area of the own station, the district point signals X, Y are stored in storage sections 11, 12. When the polling signal is received by a receiver D, demodulated by a polling signal receiving section 2 of the device G and stored in storage section 7-10. Comparison sections 13-16 compare the district point signal and the polling signal and when an AND circuit 17 discriminates that the district point signal is in the range of the polling signal, the mobile station transmits the station number signal from a transmitter E. |
