PURPOSE:To attain ease of branching of optical fiber network by making each diode group into unit together with a pair of transmitter and receiver and providing attachably and detachably the unit to a mother board connecting the diode group in a direction opposite to the blocking direction. CONSTITUTION:Plural pairs of optical receivers and optical transmitters are coupled to an optical fiber cable and an optical branching device is constituted by a diode matrix circuit connecting the optical receivers and optical transmitters except the paired optical receivers and transmitters. Each diode of the matrix circuit is blocked in the row direction and assembled as a diode group connected in common to the optical transmitters 4a-4f. The diode group, pull-up resistors 9a-9f, transmitters 4a-4f, and paired optical receivers 3a-3f are all formed into units as optical input/output units 11a-11f. Each diode group of the units 11a-11f is connected to the optical branching device in a direction opposite to the blocked direction so as to attain ease of branching. |
