PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent screen by driving a control electrode so as to form alternately an odd number block and an even number block at each recording line, allowing to prevent uneven density of longitudinal stripes in the sub- scanning direction in one screen. CONSTITUTION:Control electrodes C1-Cm, an odd number stylus electrode group A, and an even number stylus electrode group B, and a means to drive the control electrode Ci to operate alternately the stylus electrode groups A, B at each recording line are provided to one line, and this drive means includes an ROM 51 changing the order of control electrode drive, a decoder/distributing circuit 52 to drive the control electrode Ci, and a frequency dividing circuit 53 changing the operating order of the ROM 51. The odd number, the even number and the blocks B, A are driven alternately at each recording line, one screen is recorded repetitively and the excellent electrostatic recording image with less uneven density is obtained. |
