PURPOSE:To obtain a fluorescent lamp that is suitable to mass production by inserting lead wires that form a pinching section in the two holes of a stem from both ends and airtightly sealing them and then cutting and removing the unnecessary part of the lead wires. CONSTITUTION:A single wire W that forms a pair of lead wires 13 and 13 is bent in a form shown in Fig. a. In this case, an electrode pinching section 1 is made of iron/nickel wires and the sealing section B into a stem 2 is made of Jumet wires and an external lead section C is made of copper wires. Such a wire W is inserted in a pair of holes 12 perforated on a glass plate that comprises a buttom stem 2 shown in Fig. b from the external lead section C and the sealing section B of the wire W is airtightly sealed and secured to the holes 12 by glass firt 14 as shown in Fig. c. In addition, after both ends of an electrode 9 is inserted in a pair of the said pinching sections A, pinched by a tool, and secured to the wire W, the unnecessary part D of the wire W is cut and removed by the tool as shown in Fig. e. |
