The bed has a thick mattress (2) locaed above the base frame (1) and a cover plate (5) having the same thickness as the mattress. The cover plate has a hole which extends downward to a pot(7) which will hold excretions. This invention prevents the mattress from becoming soiled and ensured the patient's piece of mind.
