PURPOSE:To increase the porosity of a negative pole active material and improve its coefficient of utilization by kneading the active material in a slurry form and increasing the moisture content up to a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:After negative pole expander is added to lead oxide powder in a slurry material blending machine 1 and is fully dry-type-mixed, water and dilute sulfuric acid are added to them, kneaded, and formed into a paste form, and a slurry type material with the moisture content of 20 to 30% is created by slowly adding water to them. After a specified amount of this slurry type material is ejected on a grid 5 loaded on paste paper 4 from a supply port 3 with a solenoid valve 2 and the grid is filled with the material, the moisture in the slurry type material is removed by a moisture suction machine 6 to some extent. In addition, a negative plate with a number of pores in the active material can be obtained by evaporating water that is left behind by a drying machine 7. |
