PURPOSE:To obtain a video signal with high picture quality by separating an optical signal including vertical smear stored on a vertical scanning CCD and the vertical smear and transmitting it to a horizontal scanning CCD to obtain the difference between the optical signal and the vertical smear from the transferred signal. CONSTITUTION:Photo diodes PD11-PD(2m)n are arranged horizontally and vertically in an array as the photoelectric element train, the optical signal stored on the element train is read out by vertical and horizontal CCDs 22, 31, 32. The CCD22 is formed into a three-layer structure of n-semiconductor layer, p-semiconductor layer and n-semiconductor layer, a p-type impurity is introduced under each electrode to form an n<-> layer. The optical signal including the vertical smear is separated from the vertical smear and transferred to the CCD31, 32 by transferring repetitively two signals by the CCD22. The difference between the optical signal and the vertical smear is obtained from the output of the CCD31, 32, allowing to output the video signal with high quality. |
