PURPOSE:To attain picture output processing without complicated electronic control by providing freely attachably and detachably a picture reading cassette to a carriage so as to make the maintenance easy. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 4 and an ink ribbon cassette are removed from the carriage 3 at picture reading and a cassette 10 with image sensor and a connector 11 are fitted. A printer control section 1 turns a platen 6 to carry an original, drives the carriage 3 and makes the cassette 10 run on the plane of an original. A current is supplied to a lighting bulb 13 via a flat cable 7 to light the plane of the original. The image of the picture on the original by this lighting is formed on an image sensor 5 and read. The picture data to be read is transmitted to the control section 1 via a cable 7 and the control section 1 transmits a picture data to a document processor 2. |
