PURPOSE:To enable the testing of dental caries activity simply for a short time without fading of an indicator even under a prolonged preservation by arranging a specified amount, wt%, of sodium fluoride. CONSTITUTION:The concentration of sodium fluoride is 0.01-0.5%, preferably 0.05-0.2%. The composition is basically a liquid composition in which sugar, sodium trinitride, resazurin and a specified concentration of sodium fluoride are dispersed and dissolved in a distilled water. The blending ratio of the components is 2.5-40% for sugar, a 0.01-0.1% for sodium nitride, 0.0001-0.05% for resazurin. pH of the composition is preferably held at 6.5-7.0. pH control agent such as sodium hydroxide and acetic acid may be used if desired. |
