PURPOSE:To suppress the commutation failure of a current type inverter while maintaining a high control response by providing a rate-of-change limiter which limits the rate of change of the primary current reference to the prescribed value or lower. CONSTITUTION:A limiter 17 which limits the rate of change of a torque current reference is provided in the output unit of a speed controller 6. This limiter 17 does not occur a commutation failure, limits the rate of change of a torque current reference to the degree that no defect occurs in the control response, and outputs a new torque current reference. Even when the change of a speed reference omegagamma* or speed signal omegagamma occurs in a short time or even when the rate of change is large, the rate of change of the torque current reference is limited to the constant value by the limiter 17, and the commutation is accordingly continued stably. |
