PURPOSE:To measure and display a free air temperature accurately even though the effect of a bodily temperature is received at the time of carrying, by performing correction based on the accurate free air temperature which is set from the outside and a sensor temperature which is set at the time of free air temperature setting. CONSTITUTION:A switch part 7 is provided at the outside of a wrist watch and comprises the following parts: a switch S1 which measures a temperature and performs release; a switch S2 for switching a free air temperature setting mode, a temperature measuring mode, and a watch mode; and switches 3 and 4 which increment or decrement the preset temperature by every 1 deg.C. The switch S3 or S4 is operated and the accurate free air temperature is set in a termperature correcting circuit 13. The temperature of a sensor 11 is subject to the effect of the bodily temperature. When the free air temperature is 37 deg.C, the sensor temperature agrees with 37 deg.C. The temperature correcting circuit 13 obtains a coefficient A and a content B by simultaneous equations of TC= ATA+B, and performs the temperature correction in accordance with the equations. The corrected temperature is sent to a display device 6 through a switching control part 5. |
