PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp image in a short time in the stage of performing color printing using a TV signal by using the signals consisting of only the low range signal component as three color signals to be used for color printing, and using the signal consisting of only the high range signal component as a black signal. CONSTITUTION:The TV signal supplied to an input terminal 1 is processed to a luminance signal Y and color difference signals R-Y, B-Y in a signal processing circuit DEC and are processed to a luminance signal Y and three primary color signals R, G, B in a matrix circuit MTX. The signal Y is applied to an HPF, from which the high range signal component Yh of the signal Y is outputted. The signals R, G, B are applied to LPFr, LPFg, LPFb, by which low range signal components Rl, Gl, Bl are outputted. These outputs are subjected to an AD conversion and are stored in a digital memory DM. The signals stored in the memory DM are read out in prescribed order, and are supplied to a recording section RE. Printing is performed on paper P by the ink of prescribed colors according to the printing signals recorded in the section RE. The sharp image is thus printed in a short time with good color reproducibility. |
